False eyelashes were made of plastic and came with glue. Women glued them onto their eyelids. Only sometimes the glue did not work too well. Many women who visited the bathroom found an eyelash stuck to her cheek instead!

The Headband

Headbands were not just for women in the sixties. Men wore them, too. The sixties’ headbands were worn close to the forehead, and sometimes across it in hippie-style. They were made of many different materials. This could include strings of flowers, fringed leather, or cloth. Some were thin and beaded. They were easy to make by hand but so popular that they could be bought almost anywhere.
